FIELD TRIP TO THE ZOO The New Orleans Zoo had been badly damaged by the hurricane; many animals were lost or removed to other cities. Zoo keepers were proud of their efforts to restore the zoo, and invited the school to make a field trip there on the day after school opened. The students played on the merry go round and spider web, observed the animals, and used the field to play “getting acquainted” games.
